
Creating Values Ambassadors
Course Structure
Module 1:
In Person

The focus of the first module is for participants to first explore the concepts of value as culture, how values are communicated and what role employees have in creating a values-driven culture. Participants will then focus on what the concept, intent and possibilities are for the role of Values Ambassador, in general and within their organization. Participants will work to define their personal values ambassador role for the organization and share action plans and commitments with fellow participants.
Module 2:
Online meetings
(Approx 90 min per meeting; 7 in total)

The focus of the second module is to provide an opportunity to see how the Values Ambassador role is working in practice. Though the seven online meetings, a similar format will be followed:

first thirty minutes will be dedicated to hearing what's working, what's challenging and what each person wants to do different in their role going forward

second forty-five minutes will be a focused, practical education session exploring one key skill for values ambassadors to practice until the next call; these will focus on the communication skills such as giving and receiving feedback, confronting values gaps in a values-based communication style, listening skills, noticing and appreciating values in action, and more

final fifteen minutes will be dedicated to questions and identifying the key actions and commitments for each person until the next call
The key outcome of the second module is for participants to gain both the skills and the awareness to be an effective values ambassador
Module 3:
In person

The focus of the third module is to take all that has been learned over the course of the program, review the initiatives, determine what worked best, what did not and what they would do differently going forward. The second half of the time will be spent on planning what to do in the following year to continue their role as values ambassadors within the organization. Participants will also determine how to formalize the feedback process for the remaining employees in the organization to invite input and feedback, to ensure the values ambassador role is inspiring, educating and enhancing the current culture of the organization. The key focus of this module is to empower the participants to embrace the values ambassador role beyond the program and continue their efforts to enhance the culture of the organization.
