 Course Structure

Module 1: "Who Am I?"

Key Outcomes:

  1. Recognize concepts of values-based leadership, explore their current experience

  2. Develop awareness of work style, decision-making and communication style and how these may be impacting 

 

Module Description:

Participants will consider what is currently working in their leadership, any challenges and what they want to do to enhance their leadership. Leaders explore their personal leadership style including work style, decision-making and communication style. Leader’s will identify their current communication habits, the impact, and practical strategies to improve. 

Module 2: "What Matters Most to Me?"

Key Outcomes:

  1. Explore personal beliefs about time and creating intentional daily habits around personal values-reflection

  2. Define core personal values and leadership purpose; connect to the organization’s values and purpose

Module Description:

Through conversation and reflection, leaders explore what matters most to them, and if they are aligning their priorities and actions to their values. Leaders will define their leadership purpose and connect to the organization’s values and purpose.  Leaders will explore their concepts of time and consider how they are using their time in values-aligned ways (or not). 

Module 3: "What Matters Most to My Organization?"

Key Outcomes:

  1. Explore the concept of feedback and how to create a feedback-rich environment to continue leadership growth and collective values conversations that are productive.

  2. Practice skills to more effectively lead values-driven conversations with and for the teams they lead

 

Module Description:

Participants will explore how to operationalize the organization’s values and purpose in a meaningful way for the teams they lead. Leaders will practice leading values-driven conversations with their teams, helping their people define what the organization’s values mean for them, what behaviors are in alignment with this value and what behaviors might take away from this value. 

Module 4:

Key Outcomes:

  1. Define leadership goals, values-aligned behaviors and an action plan to continue their development beyond the program

Module Description:

Participants will reflect on their values-based learning journey, assess what has shifted to and what they are committed to going forward. In small group discussions, leaders will share insights, key learnings and most significant development focus for their next six to twelve months.  Leaders will then create a summary document identifying their action plan for how they will continue developing as a values-based leader.

Upcoming Program Schedules

Winter 2023 - Virtual Schedule

The four modules will be covered through a series of online classrooms, small group assignments and individual reflections and homework. This program consists of a total of 22 hours of instruction.

  • Module 1 (6 hours): Jan 16 - Feb 3, 2023

  • Module 2 (5 hours): Feb 15 - 28 2023

  • Module 3 (6 hours): Mar 6 - 22 2023

  • Module 4 (5 hours): Mar 27 - Apr 5 2023
